Case Lights
Originally, I planned on doing LEDs for the case lights, but i found it much easier to add a 12v source from the motherboard and run white cathodes. For adding the 12v source, I used this tutorial on how do add the line for the cathodes.
pictures for your viewing pleasure:
note the 4" cathodes on the left and right side, and the added switch above the power to turn them on/off
Right side
I chopped open the connector box so i wouldn't be so big
shot of the connections: v2
Humpty is all put back together; i also added the Talismoon Crysal Flow fan duct, so the fan LEDs will show better

The Planning Process
Well, this is going to be my first xbox 360 mod, but I think its going to come out pretty nice. I have an xbox 360 pro console, stock. Here's the plan:
-Pearly white paint job, all around
-White LED's for ring of light (red for error, of course)
-Hard drive window, white LED's inside
-Case window, white cathodes inside
- DVD drive cover with window, also painted white.
-Upgraded cooling fan, preferably with white LED's
-Dremel out metal fan grill
-Paint A/V and Power cables white to match
- Paint controllers white to match
- Locate (or paint existing) thumbsticks and d-pad painted white to match
-Paint WD Passport external drive white to match
-Change controller led's to white

Case Fans
Talismoon Whisper Fans came today, along with my spare case, which means I can actually get started on this stuff.
Had a little trouble getting the new fans to fit just right, but they're pretty snug. I had to jerry-rig a way to get them to stay just right, which I will fix later (and you'll see what I mean in the pictures)
Before
New fans are in
Fans on low (Yes, the twistie is only temporary)
Fans on high
Changed my LED's in the fans to the white ones. enjoy:
Fans on Low
Fans on High
In the daytime (with my little helper)
